About The Riyona Chronicles
The Riyona Chronicles traces its origin to a small, former Avatar: The Last Airbender message board community, Avatar Goodies, as a role play. It was entitled "Free Play", and was essentially open-ended. Liamane, originally known as animegal, submitted Vincent Valentine of Final Fantasy VII, and Siani submitted Kikyo of Inuyasha. Free Play began on New Year's morning of 2007, and with a few other role players, the Village had began its earliest stages. After Vincent and Kikyo met one another, the two found their way to a village, later known as Riyona. Characters such as Miyo, Kohana, Arnia and Jiro were introduced during this time.
Compelled to branch off from their fellow role players, Siani and Liamane left Free Play and began to revise their newfound series to suit their ideas. By doing such, they entitled their project "The Village". As February came, B.B. Valentine, once blacKbird97, owned a Kingdom Hearts Forum, the familiar Cloudchasers, and suggested the entire story be moved to his forum, and even aided in the process. Soon after, B.B. had introduced the Tidus and Naomi to the colorful mesh of characters. Time pressed on, and the Village was blossoming into something truly great.
The first season ended in early May 2007, and the second season began with much enthusiasm. As extensive schedules began to consume the writers' day to day routines, the Village slowly drifted, but its spirit was still very alive. The three authors began to support and distribute their work wherever possible. Graphics, promotional videos, and other methods of support were created to spread the word. Even a website for the story to be formally placed was in the works. With its great success, The Riyona Chronicles is expected to continue for a very long time.
